* I WITNESS: THE UNCRC IN SCOTLAND

Young people from across Scotland telling it like it is! Young people's views on Discrimination, Participation, Asylum Seekers and Refugees, Health, Looked After Children and Young People and Education: Article 12 in Scotland's alternative report to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, a response to the UK Government's latest periodic report. Six representatives of Article 12 in Scotland will present this report to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (Geneva) on June the 11th 2008. Click here to download a PDF copy. The 17th of May is International Day against Homophobia. Last year Article 12 in Scotland joined other activists in London to campaign for a UN resolution on the decriminalisation of homosexuality. This year LGBT Youth are holding a series of events in Scotland to mark the day. Click here for further information.

ONE MILLION VOICES


A big thank you to all the people who joined us on Union Terrace, in the Gardens and at Cafe Drummond, in a show of solidarity with the young people of Palestine and Israel who are engaging in civil society action to end the conflict.

A special thanks to Mr. Gavin McGinty, Mr. Missouri, Kashmir Red and the Vanzants for the excellent music.
