In 1995 – 50 years after the end of World
War II – the
Council of Europe ran a European Youth Campaign entitled “All
Different – All Equal” in order to reinforce the fight
against racism, anti-Semitism, Xenophobia and Intolerance.
The
Council of Europe recently ran a new, year long, Campaign for Diversity, Human
Rights and Participation, based upon the same slogan and using
the same successful logo.
Supported by the UK Government,
The British Council and the National Youth Agency, the campaign
was re-launched in the UK on the 26th March 2007 at a seminar in
Birmingham. Article 12 in Scotland was invited to make a presentation
of their work around Diversity, Human Rights and Participation.

Though both campaigns have successfully raised awareness across, and beyond, Europe, the struggle – 13 years after the initial launch – still
goes on. For this reason Article 12 in Scotland, and many other local, national and international organisations will continue to campaign under the "All Different, All Equal" banner. |

ONE MILLION VOICES SCOTLAND
One Million Voices is a year long international campaign to support young people in Palestine and Israel who are engaging in civil society action to pressure their leaders to work together to end the conflict.
To start the campaign in Scotland Article 12 in Scotland held a One Million Voices awareness raising event in Aberdeen on the 18th of October 2007.
Mass signings, rallys and gigs will be held across Scotland in the coming months. Watch this space for updates!
OneVoice aims to amplify the voice of the overwhelming but heretofore silent majority of Palestinians and Israelis who wish to end the conflict.
Through the OneVoice Youth Leadership Programme young Palestinians and Israelis have been empowered to mobilise their communities.
Hundreds of thousands have signed the OneVoice mandate.

previous occasions Article 12 in Scotland will be presenting an "Alternative" Report
