ARTICLE 12 IN SCOTLAND

As an Article 12 in Scotland activist you are free to take part in any or all of our campaigns. If you are over 16 you can help monitor and evaluate our exisiting work and set the agenda for our future work by becoming a member of our national management group. Elections for our management group are held annually at our AGM, which usually takes place in October. If you are interested in becoming involved please e-mail us for further information.

PROJECTSCOTLAND

ProjectScotland was set up to connect young Scots with full time volunteering opportunities.Young people aged between 16 and 25 have the opportunity to sign up to a volunteering placement of their choice lasting anything from three to twelve months. To ensure access to young people from all backgrounds, ProjectScotland volunteers are offered an allowance and travel expenses.

EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE

European Voluntary Service ( EVS) offers young people age 18-25 (rising to 30 in 2007) the chance to live and work in a foreign country on a short term project (three weeks to six months) or a long term project (six months to twelve months). Greenpeace exists because this fragile Earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs action.

TRADE JUSTICE MOVEMENT

The Trade Justice Movement is a fast growing group of organisations including trade unions, aid agencies, environment and human rights campaigns, fairtrade organisations, faith and consumer groups.The movement is supported by more than 70 organisations, including Article 12 in Scotland, that have over 9 million members, and new organisations are joining every month.Together, we are campaigning for trade justice - not free trade - with the rules weighted to benefit poor people and the environment.

AMNESTY

Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide movement of people who campaign for internationally recognized human rights. AI’s vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.

INTERNATIONAL HIV/AIDS ALLIANCE

The mission of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance (the Alliance) is to reduce the spread of HIV and meet the challenges of AIDS.We are committed to prevent HIV infection; improve access to treatment, care and support; and lessen the impact of AIDS.
