Member of the Board of Trustees – with experience of mental ill-health

Due to the ‘retiral’ of a Board member we are recruiting an individual with lived experience of or professional experience in the field of mental ill-health. This position is currently linked to the status of Board Secretary however the successful applicant would not have to accept the additional responsibilities associated with an office bearer position. If you have the skills and knowledge that can help us grow as an organisation and a belief that change can be/should be brought about by individuals rather than those who seek to ‘speak on their behalf’ then you are the right person for Article 12 in Scotland.

To apply: Please email us a personal statement outlining why you are interested in this position and what you can bring to the table. Your statement should be no longer than 1000 words.

This is a voluntary postion so no fee will be paid. However all travel/accommodation costs will be met by the organisation.

As an organisation working with young people we will require the successful applicant to join the PVG scheme [if not already a member] and undergo further checks before carrying out duties on behalf of the organisation.

Application: by email to:

Closing date: 5pm – 15th December 2017.

The successful applicant will be expected to take up the position at our forthcoming AGM/Annual Strategy Meeting on 23rd/24th February 2018.
